Just found a very nice photo of me and Jerome with the legendary engine tuner Mr. Lemmens taken in 2001.
I’m glad he is going to stay in the F1 world where he deserves to have another shot with a better car.
諸事情で昔のPCのデータなどを整理してたら、こんな写真が出てきました。
2001年のものですが、僕とロータスF1にサードドライバーとして加入することになったと発表があったばかりの昨年のヴァージンのドライバーであったダンブロジオくんと、今や伝説と言っていいGKSのレメンスさんが写っています。
彼がF1に残れることになって安心しましたし、ロータスであれば来年のレギュラーの可能性も現実的だと思います。当然ながら彼にはもっと戦闘力のあるチームに加わってほしいですが、簡単じゃないですね。
GARMINのGPS機能つきランニングウォッチのおかげで、フリーランニングを楽しんでいます。
ルートを決めずに自由に、気の向くままに走るんです。
今日は美しい夜景に思いがけず出会い、思わず止まって写真を撮ってしまいました。
I’ve been enjoying what I call “Free Running” often.
I call it like that because I make no plans but rough distance, and just start running!
GARMIN’s wonderful GPS running watch made this possible, having real time access to your heart rate, speed, pace, distance and of course your split time per km and time of day.
Gathering your exercise data from around the world is really cool especially having Google Earth!
最近は移動が多いので世界中で僕の走っているデータを取っているのですが、それをGoogle Earthで表示すると、かなり嬉しい気持ちになれます♪

I’ve finally returned to Japan after three weeks of lovely time in a warm Island in the Pacific ocean.
Our dog was sick but he’s looking better today, as you can see.

Once again I was impressed by all the collections in the Porsche museum.
There are so many championship winning racing cars in the museum that I also saw last year so I only took two pics.
The first one is a photo which you can hardly believe those cars are real.
They are so cute and tiny and beautiful at the same time.
The second one is Atom boy, now maybe a international cartoon hero but originally from Japan.
こちらは僕がポルシェミュージアムに行った時に撮影した数少ない写真です。（昨年はもっとバシバシ写真を撮ったのですが、展示されているクルマにあまり変化がなかったので今年は2枚しか撮影しませんでした。）
鉄腕アトムが描かれているのはポルシェのボンネットなのですが、ポルシェのイメージとは少し違いますね。
心強い感じはしますが、元々十分に心強いポルシェなので、アクセルを踏みすぎそうです。（笑）
After having lunch at the very famous Christphorus, the restaurant in the highest part of the museum, we headed to a tour in the Porsche factory across the street.
This was the high light of my German trip.
Everything I saw was amazing, didn’t know so much of the manufacturing was done by man or woman’s hand!
And my image of a car factory was more of a efficiency pursuing place, but it was no where near that.
Now I feel I really want to own a Porsche.
ミュージアムの最上階にあるクリストフォーラスでランチをした後には今回の旅のハイライトとなったポルシェの工場見学に行きました。（と言ってもミュージアムの向かい側が工場なんです。）
日本の工場の映像は、徹底的に効率を追求するというイメージを植え付ける物ばかりなのかもしれませんが、ポルシェのファクトリーの時間の流れはとても自然なもので驚かされました。
そして、オートメイションはされているのですが、人間の手作業によって自動車が作り上げられている割合がかなり多かったのも驚きでした。
当日見学中に目にしたものの全てが僕のポルシェ所有欲を刺激しまくっていました。（笑）
やっぱりできるだけ早くポルシェに乗れるようになりたい！

The new GT3 RSR looked very fast already!!
Enjoyed dinner with a lot of drivers celebrating me for the perfect win season, apparantly it was the first time in Carerra Cup history that a single driver won all the races.

新しいケータイで撮影したものですが、以前のものとは比べ物にならないほど綺麗に撮れてます。
また、新しいGT3 RSRはまだ走っていないのに、速そうでした。（笑）
美味しいディナーを楽しみ、そして、多くのドライバーや関係者が僕の全勝チャンピオンをお祝いしてくれました。
アナウンスによると、これはカレラカップ史上初めての快挙ということです！
新しいフォーミュラ フォードが発表されたそうです。
A new Formula Ford car seems to have been lauched recently.
ぶっちゃけ、乗りたいです。（笑）
そして、FFからやり直したいですね。
To be honnest I would love to go back into FF racing!
ホイールのデザインがロードカーのスポーツバージョンと同じになりましたので、目を惹きますが、実際にホイールもワンメイクになるのかな？？？
The wheels are designed just like the road going Focus but I wonder if anyone is going to use them.
あとは時代の流れで、コックピット周りの安全性が向上していそうな感じに見えます。
I’m not surprised to see improved safety around the cockpit but I wonder if it’s necessary.
Anyway I thought it’s cool!!
I must say I felt super lucky to be able to drive such a fantastic handling and engineered car… The Ferrari 458 Italia.
Look at this design, it’s such a beauty.
And the sound she creates is phenominal!!
One thing I wasn’t impressed was the way they designed the steering wheel.
It looked like a toy to me with so many buttons and colors.
Never the less, I would like to own this car if I can afford it…
